Joburg

Last day in Joburg belonged to the city itself. We were particularly careful to visit t only the city parts known as safe ones and stared with Braamfontein. It was a great choice as on Saturday there is a traditional food market. We had a cup of very strong espresso in Doubleshot (our first experience) and then we spent plenty of quality time at the food market called Neighbourgoods. I think I have never seen such a variety of national cuisines on display. The place reminded me of a Chiang Rai food market in Thailand. Great choice, quality food.

We visited the Constitution Hill and Gandhi square afterwards. Both places had its unique atmosphere.

Joburg used to be a miner's settlement because gold was found here 200 years ago. Soweto that we visited yesterday used to be a town for miners only. No family members were allowed.
