St Lucia hippos and crocs

St Lucia is a small town or village at the estuary of the river St Lucia which is home to about 1,000 hippos and 2,000 crocs. Apparently not the best place for a swim.
It is also an entrance to the World Heritage iSimangaliso Wetland Park. Unfortunately, we were not able to visit all places in one day so we opted for the easier targets this time - a visit to a croc centre and a hippo and croc boat cruise to learn more about these fascinating and exotic animals to us. They were both interesting and overly pleasant experiences.
